before/after: italian dolomites edition

In & around Corvara and San Cassiano over the Brenner Pass from the Austrian border.
Beautiful mountains, exhilarating air, insane snowy roads, so much pork.
Next stop…Liverpool?

Please to update the site.
THAT IS ALL.
Hi There -
This is going to come out really lame and cheesy: I just wanted to write to let you know that I just stumbled upon your blog after reading one of your articles in GQ and it has drastically altered my future career choices. I'm a freshman at NYU and have spent my whole life wanting to be a music journalist. But after seeing your pictures of travelling to exotic destinations and sandboarding in the desert and racing Aston Martins, and then going on your site and seeing the list of people you have interviewed over the course of your career, I'm not so sure I want to spend my life in smoky dive bars watching "the next big thing" with a crowd of pretentious indie scenesters.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for opening my eyes a little bit and giving me something to aspire to.
Yang
OK. More updating please.
That is all.
Hey, Vacationist:
I'm with Yang here--I found your blog after reading a recent GQ article (although I think the first article of yours I read was the Conde Nast Traveler one with the around-the-world trip), but I was just wondering: how does one come to be a travel/food writer, anyway? Outside of the usual J-school thing, how does one settle on these areas specifically?
Please update the site. I hope this doesn't mean you've fallen prey to some lousy Beatles cover band while in Liverpool or are catatonic on the street singing Ferry Across the Mersey over and over and over.
These visitors echo what I have been saying in these very comment pages of this very blog for ages now.
Welcome all johnny-come-latelies.
